Illegal immigration fix. It's really easy.

I was reading an article in the Deseret News yesterday and it made me so angry I thought my head was going to explode.

While I agree that stupid laws enforced to the letter just make rational people go insane, not obeying a law just because you disagree with it is just as bad. 

I find that recently I hear a lot of people commenting about families being torn apart, houses being raided, and good honest hard working people just trying to get ahead being turned into criminals.  I have a couple issues with that. There are a large number of illegal immigrants who are just taking advantage of everything we as American Citizens will give them.  You might argue that anyone would take anything they can get but I disagree.  I think the majority (although the number is dwindling with every generation) of Americans want to be self reliant and prefer to earn their keep.

  My wife works for the State of Utah.  Her department deals with people applying for financial aid of various types.  She sees the level of fraud everyday and it infuriates her.  That is a whole different post though.

A large number of illegal immigrants come to the U.S. and they find that they can get a SSN for  a couple hundred buck if that.  They also find out that with that number they can get financial aide for housing, child care, food stamps, cash assistance, the list goes on and on.  Even without the number they can get in state tuition at our colleges (I tend to think this is the least abused benefit they get).   They can have children with deadbeat dads and then the state will pay them child support.  Even if the father isn't a deadbeat they still collect child support and just lie.  If they say the dad went back to Mexico most states don't even bother to look for them.  That way both parents can live in a house and get aide as if it was a single mom raising children.  Remember this is all illegal for anyone to do who isn't a legal citizen.  So initial crime of entering the U.S. omitted, they are still criminals without ever buying/selling drugs or stealing anything.

  So here is my solution.  It doesn't involve tearing children from their parents and sending the parents back to South America.  It is simple, human, logical and doesn't involve anything that could be misconstrued as racial profiling.  STOP ALLOWING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO ILLEGALLY OBTIAN AIDE IN THE U.S.  I know it is a leap for some people.  Just stop.  If any person comes into a government office and applies for aide, make them show thier original birth certificate and SSN.  If the name on the birth certificate doesn't match the name on the SSN that they give then just deny the aid.  That simple.   Just removing benefits that are not legal for them to aquire will serve as a huge motivating factor for them to go somewhere else.  Those that remain and work and take care of their children and aren't on government programs are the honest hard working people.  They are the ones that supporters of illegal immigrations say we are hurting by enforcing our laws.  Now there are people who will say that the children will suffer if the free money goes away.  That is absolutely true. One generation of children will suffer.  That is very unfortunate but it has to happen sooner or later. They will suffer here and now or all children in the U. S. will suffer when our government collapses from the overburden that has been placed on it from all avenues, not just illegal immigration.
